About me:
Gio Chanturia

My name is Gio 👋 and this is my personal webpage.

I am a doctoral candidate 🎓 at the University of Bonn (more on this here).

My daily tasks revolve around software development ⌨️, theoretical physics 🪐 and IT administration 🖥️.

I am a big supporter of open source software 🧑‍💻 and try my best to offer valuable contributions to the cause (notable example here).

In my free time I like to play with microcontrollers 🎛️ and computers. I like coming up with fun coding projects 🎮 (some posted on this website).

I am very passionate about education 🧑‍🏫 and have been contributing in this direction for several years. I have taught physics and computer science both at schools and universities 🏫. I have designed and recorded a physics course 📹 for Georgian students (check it out here). I am a co-author of a teachers' guide book 📙 for XI grade physics.

I believe that both science 🧑‍🔬 and education 🧑‍🎓 are only as strong as the people behind them, so I try to be an active member of various organisations and communities.

As a hobbyist, I thoroughly enjoy 3D modeling 📐 and printing. I try to play volleyball 🏐 regularly at the university campus. I am a big admirer of arts and music and have more guitars 🎸 than I can justify having.
